Spurs boss Martin Jol has admitted to Sky Sports that he is looking to strengthen the squad after the departures of Pedro Mendes, Noé Pamarot and Sean Davis.

Jol also admitted that Stephen Kelly has asked to leave White Hart Lane after the departures of Mendes, Davis and Pamarot to Portsmouth. Kelly's contract expires in the summer and it was previously beleived that he was willing to stay and fight for his place but having recalled both Phil Ifil and Dean Marney from loan spells, Jol may well feel that he has adequate cover for Paul Stalteri at right back.

Jol also admitted that left back was a key position that needs strengthening and it is widely believed that Spurs are in negotiations with Chelsea to bring the England international Wayne Bridge to White Hart Lane.
