Tottenham visade ingen försäsongströtthet när de via O´Hara, Lennon och Bent-mål gjorde processen kort med League One-laget Exeter City. Modric var livlig i Spurs men hemmalagets målvakt Jones gjorde det svårt för Spurs i 90 minuter.

31.30: GOAL – SPURS. Hutton darted to the right byline, stood up fine cross just too high for Defoe but fell to Keane, he fired at goal from 14 yards and Jones did well to parry diving to his left, ball rebounded to O'Hara who drilled home from 16 yards.

47.36: WOODWORK – SPURS. Modric's corner spilled by Jones, Livermore poked the ball to Dawson, his left-foot shot from 16 yards hit the foot of the post.
